God isn't bland. The Church shouldn't be, either.
Pray 4 Your Block

Check out http://www.pray4yourblock.org. It’s a great example of utilizing Google Maps API, and manipulating it with custom content, for the Kingdom.

Catalyst, a network of Churches througout Chicagoland (not to be confused with the annual conference in GA), has built a site that encourages folks to step up and commit to praying for their communities. I found out about the website because The Chapel, my church, is a part of the Catalyst network.

You can flag your community even if you’re not in the Chicagoland area.  If you look at the prayer map you’ll see flags all over the United States and the world.

In addition, your church can be a partner of Pray 4 Your Block– Currently 50 plus churches and the list is growing.

What do you think about this?  Is there anything else out there similar to this site?   What are other good examples of Google API being used by churches or ministries?
