God isn't bland. The Church shouldn't be, either.
getbaptised.com – A Gift to All Churches

Take a few minutes and check out getbaptised.com today, an initiative of Crossway Church geared to offer baptism preparation for anyone wishing to be baptized at their church.

I like it.

Baptism prep to a whole new level…

So many times information on baptism can be brief, in passing, or explained just prior to being baptized. I love what Crossway is doing for two reasons.

  1. Evangelistic: getbaptised.com does a great job at educating about baptism and what the Bible says, but it also equips folks to take it to a new level by “focusing on preparing you to share your story within God’s story with your relational network.”
  2. On your own time: Steve Fogg explains that since it’s online, “You can do your preparation at a time that fits into your life, rather than a time that only suits ours.”

Your church can benefit, too!

Churches should be inspired by this initiative. but even better, Steve actually encourages you to use their material.

“If you are in leadership at another church that wants to use it, you can. We’ve written it and shot the videos so it will fit into any environment.”

It’s not Crossway centric and they’re even looking into securing the domain with the American spelling – getbaptized.com.

Well done Steve Fogg, Crossway, and the good folks over at Details Communications.

What do you think about this?

Thanks for the shout out! Would love any feedback on it… as its still a work in progress

This is what it’s about… the church helping the church helping people. This is so not about Crossway.

Thanks for your encouragement Cleve (even though I’m _just_ the guy who registered the domain)
